Revolving around the General Assembly, CISAC's highest representative entity, the confederation operates based on the work of a number of committees that guide its strategy and operations.
CISAC comprises the following formal bodies:
- General Assembly
- Board of Directors
- Internal Audit Committee
- Legal Committee
- Regional Committees: Africa, Asia-Pacific, Canada/USA, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe.
In response to the rapid change in the media and copyright environment, CISAC recently reformed its structure to enhance the coordination and decision-making capacity of its committees. CISAC committees address a wide range of issues including: public affairs and communication, legal, governance, technical support, IT standards, and regional work.
